What is an Active Password Site?

An Active Password site is one where the webmaster maintains his/her site and checks it daily for errors, sites that screw around with your browser, and are pop up free.  They provide better passwords than fully automated neglected password sites.

The following notes apply to most password sites that you will visit from WTS, not WTS itself.


Dead Passwords

Adult Sites that are listed on password list pages transiently die/expire from over use.  This usually means that the password you are using has been discovered to be in the public domain & has thus been deactivated.  The only thing you can do here is quit out & find another Adult Site to view. Some sites will require you to manually input the password, you will usually find these listed on the password list you found the link on.

Some Pass Sites automatically remove Adult Sites that turn to scams (see below) & dead passes every hour, others will leave them on the list until they next update.  If you find that many of the passes on a list are dead, then it is probable that the site has not updated for a while. 

It may also be possible that you need to refresh your browser, as it may be loading an old page from a previous visit.  You must clear your cache memory & reload the page... your browsers help section should explain how to do this, also you may wish to adjust the settings so that your browser refreshes itself after a day. 

Bear in mind that most people start from the top of the lists & work there way down; so if the top few passes have all died, then just move to the bottom of the list & work your way up.  Also note that some AOL users who are using old AOL software will find that all the passes are dead as the AOL software is not compatible with modern HT-Access & HTML standards.  Your best bet is to download the latest versions of Internet Explorer or Netscape.  Web-TV is another troublesome one.  You will need to consult them for help.


Scam Pages

Transiently, some Adult Sites that are onto the "password pool" racket will set up a links page in place of their content pages.  These are sites that take you around in circles for no reward of the pictures they purport to be offering, you will get lost in a maze of endless links & pop-ups.  Best thing to do is quit out & find another Adult Site to view.  Some Pass Sites will hide these scam links on pages within their site to try to generate money, they get paid around 4c for clicks on banners & links.   Here is an example of a links site - http://www.adultorigin.com - so it is up to you if you wish to do them the honor.


Mirror Pages & Domain Names

Probably the single most import fact about Mirror Pages is the use of domain names; many Pass Sites now have them as they are not really desired by the main stream establishment, & thus, are often evicted from their servers with out a moments notice.  The use of domain names allows users, like yourself, to type the domain name (in my case - http://www.passwebring.com) into your browser location window and find the site wherever it is in the world.  Domain names are like a universal sign post for the site.

Some sites have their password list pages scattered on servers around the world, they may use a single page to list where these pages are, all the pages are usually identical, they are just in different geographical locations to distribute bandwidth usage or increase the viewing speed for the surfer.  A good example of a mirror page is http://www.passwordhq.com.  This site has a "mirror" image of the pass list page on two different sides of the USA.

The following notes apply to most Adult Sites that you may visit from Password Sites, not WTS itself.


Access Denied

See the above section titled Dead Passwords, as the reason will probably be that the password has been deactivated.


In-Site Movies will not work

Some sites will not let you view the videos etc. if you have the user-name & password in the URL.  Most Pass Sites uses the the user-name & password in the URL so that you can just click on the link & enter the site... but this has  the down side of sometimes mucking up the viewing of the videos... the cure is to manually enter the user-name & password.  To do this, take the URL that you have as the link, i.e: http://username:password@www.cybersexonline.com/members/index.html  then remove all the extra bits, like the username:password@  & the end members directory /members/index.html  so that you are just left with the home URL   http://www.cybersexonline.com.  Enter this into your browsers URL location bar & then find the link for the members section on that page.  Then click that link & you will be prompted to enter the user-name & password, do so, & you should then be able to view the videos.  I expect that this would be the exception to the rule to have to go through this process.


Plug In's & Downloadable Programs

These are additional programs your browser needs to run web services, you may encounter these if you wish to watch videos.  Most are quite harmless & should not cause any system problems, for some you may need to restart your computer for them to take effect.
